The specific details of the deal are confidential, but Stephen Elop, president and chief executive of Nokia said in a press release,
"We are very pleased to have Apple join the growing number of Nokia licensees. This settlement demonstrates Nokia's industry leading patent portfolio and enables us to focus on further licensing opportunities in the mobile communications market."
Nokia was accusing Apple of infringing no fewer than 46 of its patents, through the ITC, US, Dutch, German or British courts.
