Nokia being Paid By Apple...

Im sure like me everyone will be disappointed that the court battle between Nokia and Apple only led to a settlement.It has been a case which captured headlines and led to other lawsuits being filed against Apple.

The specific details of the deal are confidential, but Stephen Elop, president and chief executive of Nokia said in a press release,

 "We are very pleased to have Apple join the growing number of Nokia licensees. This settlement demonstrates Nokia's industry leading patent portfolio and enables us to focus on further licensing opportunities in the mobile communications market."

Nokia was accusing Apple of infringing no fewer than 46 of its patents, through the ITC, US, Dutch, German or British courts.
